German auto serviced my 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 for the 40,000 mile schedule B Service. They were 25% of the price of Mercedes-Benz dealer. Oil, filters and brake fluid. It was easy to make an appointment and they were finished with my car in a few hours. Five stars

I was referred here by coworkers who own German cars as well, and DIY. Cons: Scheduling and have to provide own transportation, desk operator forgets to return calls or followup. Pros: Pricing, efficiency, technical/mechanical expertise, and no hidden or unknown fees. The scheduling isn't a big deal when it's explained. Their website also mentions it so understandable. Also not an issue since when you are able to bring your vehicle in, the work is done for the most part, the same day. Transportation also not that much of an issue due to the pricing and the for the most part, same day turn-around. I came in to have the water pump, thermostat, and related system replaced due to this being a common known fail item on Audi. I had most of the parts, utilizing the upgraded kit. The work could've been done same day at a tenth of the price of the dealership. However, my kit had missing items and a wrong part. They informed me of this, and the new price was discussed. Overall price at a third of what it would've been. After everything said and done, parts got delivered fairly late the next day which I was made aware of but the work was able to be started and completed that following day. Everything said and done, totally satisfied and glad my fellow coworker made me aware of this place existence.

I had the great good fortune of finding German Autoworks last year when I moved to Austin. Chris Wofford walked out to talk with me in my car. I’d visited four other possible garages to service my MB E300…none had the time of day to spend with me. Chris did. And it’s been to my benefit! The office staff, the mechanics and the prices are all what I want. They are all 100% authentic, skilled and friendly. Even this latest time when they missed that I needed my car back asap. I called and let them know it wasn’t ok for me to get it back later than 4. I had my car by 4 with a sincere apology. That’s what real people do.

I would absolutely recommend these folks! I just moved to town from Dallas, and had a drivetrain issue on my 7-series. They were able to diagnose and complete repairs in a very timely manner, at an extremely reasonable cost. Chris and Andrew both had amazing communication throughout the process, and have immediately become my go-to shop. While I hope I don't have to see them often, I'll rest easy knowing whatever issues may arise, I'll be taken care of. They also went above and beyond to take a look at the entire car and let me know what may be an issue down the road, without any pressure at all to get it done that day. Love these guys!

First timer at German Auto and I will definitely be a returning customer. Brent provided excellent customer service and completed my 20k mile maintenance check in record time. I asked if Discount Tires next door could take a look at my tires because of a slow leak on my Audi and they repaired it with no extra charge. Unfortunately by the end of the day I was unable to pickup my car so Brent made sure to lock up my vehicle in their parking lot to keep it safe and secure until morning pickup. I’ve taken my 2023 Porsche Macan S here twice and the service has been excellent. The work has been professionally performed and my car was ready for me sooner than I expected. I will be back.

I brought my Audi a5 in after hydroplaning and hitting the right side, mainly needing a wheel alignment. After the first alignment, the steering still pulled to the right whenever the wheel was straight. I called them back and brought the car in again. The second time, they checked more thoroughly and found suspension issues and an electrical alignment problem. They took care of it and only charged me once, even though they worked on it twice. Now the alignment feels about 95% straight — not perfect like before the accident, but definitely much better than after the first visit. Overall, they were fair, honest about what needed fixing, and didn’t overcharge me. Took a couple tries, but I appreciate that they made it right.

German Auto Center has been great with my 2019 VW Atlas. They’ve handled some tricky, hard-to-diagnose issues with a pragmatic approach—never rushing to unnecessary repairs or running up the bill. This review is on the heels of my 3rd visit to German Auto and I’m out of words for how good they’ve been to me. I’ve experienced 3 freak occurrences and they’ve come through in the clutch every time, but this most recent is the one I’m here to talk about. In black and white, my car gave me a not so favorable fallback, so I did the usual routine of reaching out to them and setting up an appointment to get my darling looked at. The code produced via an ODB reader showed as some pretty pricey damage to some of the more vital components in my whip. The initial estimate was $2500+. It wasn’t going to feel good coughing up that much dough, but if it had to be done it had to be done. In the midst of getting to aforementioned components, they discovered it wasn’t as severe as they thought but merely corroded wires due to rodent nibbles. The discovery saved me more than half of the estimate and my darling is running smooth again. They could have easily finessed me as I wouldn’t have known any different, but to see how they lead with integrity just really sold me on the greatness of this shop. Now while I don’t hope to have to see a shop soon, should I have to, they have me for life. Thank yall so much. Shout out to my man Chris for always being communicative and helpful.

Had a fantastic experience with German Auto Center on my Porsche. They quickly diagnosed and resolved a minor issue that another well-known Porsche specialist couldn’t figure out and wanted to charge over $1,000 just to diagnose. Best part? German Auto Center did it for free, with a same-day turnaround, and provided clear, objective advice on future maintenance. I won’t be going anywhere else.

Very competent

As a German Auto Center client for over five years, I am comfortable providing a very positive review...I normally do not do reviews. German Auto Center is technically very competent. My Mercedes AMC ML 63 is a complicated vehicle and German Auto Center exceeds technical expectations. With that said, the front desk is equally impressive. Chris and his team have all the customer service skills, but it is the front desk honesty and straight talk that separates German Auto Center from the others (in my mind). I would not trust that car with anybody else.
