I was referred to German Auto Center from a patient, whose husband works there and cannot say enough good things about the service I received. My old mechanic was unable to fix the problem however, Chris and the expert technicians there diagnosed and fixed it. German Auro Center is my new go to place for any issues with my BMW.

They exchanged the evap coil on my BMW x5 last month. Communication was excellent, quality of work exceptional and the repair time was as estimated. Can’t say cost was on the low side, but that doesn’t originate in the shop, it was caused by BMWs design, the shop was very reasonable given the task. 5 stars.

Chris and Team at German Auto Center are super-fantastic, I cannot rave about them nearly enough. My husband and I have been using their service for about 6-7 years. Always professional, always courteous, and always goes the extra mile. They are surprisingly so good that it leaves us saying WOW, they are so Awesome! Who says that about anyone these days? Chris, is an exception. We have since moved about a hundred miles further north this summer, and recently my car needed work, so what did I do? I drove down to see Chris at German Auto Center who does not disappoint. Thank Chris!

Brant and everyone there are great. I had a issue I thought was major but ended up being not so bad. I had my car back within a day and was back on the road. I highly recommend going here for service or repairs.

Andrew and his crew are fantastic! I felt I could trust them instantly, no gimmicks, very clued up and transparent. I gave them a noisy/vibrating/annoying Mercedes, came back as good as new.

I initially had a rough start at German Auto Center. I scheduled a Friday oil change for my Mercedes because it was my only day off for weeks. I scheduled on the Tuesday of the same week. Shortly after dropping it off, the front desk told me they were too backed up and would need to keep my car all weekend or try another shop. Disappointed, I sat in my car calling other shops to see if I could get same day service. No luck. I was actually a click away from posting a 1-star review. Instead of leaving frustrated, I went back inside and spoke with the manager, Chris. He explained they ran into unexpected trouble with other cars. I leveled with him about my schedule and understandingly asked if there was anything he could do to make it work. He went out and checked something on my car and came back inside and said they will get it done. Chris stepped up and delivered. By 2:30pm, Chris called to tell me the car was ready. When I picked it up, he even gave me a discount and thanked me for giving him the opportunity to make it right. Starting off on the wrong foot turned into a masterclass in customer service. Chris completely saved my day. I will be returning for my car needs.

Sixth year I have been taking my Porsche Cayenne to the German Auto Center. Chris is great and always recommends what is truly needed. Their service is so great I take all four of my vehicles there for service.

This is my second review for German Auto center and I truly felt obligated to write another one because businesses like this deserve to be recognized. Honest, trustworthy, and professional are the best words to describe everyone here. I recently stopped by for a battery registration, which many other repair shops charge for, but German Auto center did it completely free of charge. That alone says a lot about how they treat their customers. We also had our car’s A/C repaired, and supervisor Chris surprised us by finding and applying a coupon without us even asking. He could have easily charged the full price, but instead he looked for a way to save us money. That kind of honesty and customer care is rare these days. While waiting, we chatted with another customer, and he shared the exact same opinion—that German Auto center is one of the few repair shops he completely trusts. It was reassuring to hear someone else had the same experience. In a time when many businesses seem focused on squeezing every dollar out of customers, German Auto stands out for doing the opposite. Every visit leaves me impressed by their integrity, professionalism, and genuine commitment to doing what’s right. I’m honestly in awe every time I visit. If you’re looking for a repair shop you can truly trust, I can’t recommend German Auto highly enough.

This place is the place to take your car for repairs. I have taken my car to German Auto Center for years and have consistanly had excellent customer service as well as excellent car service. Hands down a 10 out of 10!! Chris is the absolute best!

I have an older Porshe Boxter S. I needed several things done to renew my car: a few repairs and some renewal work to bring back the shine. German Autoworks did an incredible job! I could not be more pleased. I will continue to return to German Autoworks because they do a great job!

Brant is a VW expert and was able to get my door fixed right away. Will definitely be bringing my Passat TDI back here for the next project.

First took in my BMW after I got a quote from the dealership. The quote was the same but they found a part was bad and the quote included that. The dealership missed the bad part and would have charged a lot more to fix it.

I was told by the dealership that I had an oil leak that required pulling the engine to repair. I took it to German Auto Center. They did an assessment and told me I didn’t even have a leak! So they saved me $$$! Highly recommend!

Amazing service every time! *Update July 15th, 2026* Still amazing service! And this last time I was so anxious something was wrong. They assured me all was well and explained the few items they wanted to fix, nothing scary, and my car feels brand new again. I love these guys!

Recently had expensive parts out of warranty, but he fought and even though there are two months removed from warranty, he got them to give credit. They’ve been the only folks to service my car since it was brand new; 70,000 miles later and it’s still running like a top. Easy endorsement for me to give.

I had my 2018 Porsche GT3 serviced by German Auto Center while I waited. The oil change and brake fluid flush were done quickly and expertly (total time was about 2.75hr). The staff was very helpful and courteous while engaging in a brief chat about other cars in their waiting lot. This was my second service after my CPO warranty expired and I will continue to use their services for as long as I own the car.

I took my bmw for valve cover and sparkplugs got it done same day. Chris is helpful.

I brought a Cayenne in for module reprogramming after its previous owner attempted an ill-conceived upgrade of the steering wheel and related electronics. Restoring the car back to its original config turned out to be a bigger hairball than anticipated but Andrew was persistent and was able to find a creative solution to get everything working again as stock even though the steering electronics module was for an entirely different Porsche model. I also enjoyed shooting the bull with Andrew afterward going over what was needed and how he figured out the solution. I cannot recommend Andrew and his team highly enough.

Highly recommended, they provided me with an outstanding service on my VW Jetta and everything at a Fair price. These are very rare to find reliable professionals. Brant is someone you can really trust.

Experiences with automotive people are rarely enjoyable and these guys are different. The dealership had a whole list of things they said I needed and GAC informed it's way too soon to do some of those things. That's not typical. Plus the owner bought me a couple delicious pies from the Austin Pie Man that was in there when I was! This is my new go to place! Thanks guys!

Highly recommend German Auto Center. They fixed a lingering issue with my shift linkage and caught a damaged crank pulley during their diagnostic process. They provided clear communication, accurate pricing, and finished the work exactly as promised. It’s nice to deal with a shop that is this honest and efficient.

German auto serviced my 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 for the 40,000 mile schedule B Service. They were 25% of the price of Mercedes-Benz dealer. Oil, filters and brake fluid. It was easy to make an appointment and they were finished with my car in a few hours. Five stars

I was referred here by coworkers who own German cars as well, and DIY. Cons: Scheduling and have to provide own transportation, desk operator forgets to return calls or followup. Pros: Pricing, efficiency, technical/mechanical expertise, and no hidden or unknown fees. The scheduling isn't a big deal when it's explained. Their website also mentions it so understandable. Also not an issue since when you are able to bring your vehicle in, the work is done for the most part, the same day. Transportation also not that much of an issue due to the pricing and the for the most part, same day turn-around. I came in to have the water pump, thermostat, and related system replaced due to this being a common known fail item on Audi. I had most of the parts, utilizing the upgraded kit. The work could've been done same day at a tenth of the price of the dealership. However, my kit had missing items and a wrong part. They informed me of this, and the new price was discussed. Overall price at a third of what it would've been. After everything said and done, parts got delivered fairly late the next day which I was made aware of but the work was able to be started and completed that following day. Everything said and done, totally satisfied and glad my fellow coworker made me aware of this place existence.

I had the great good fortune of finding German Autoworks last year when I moved to Austin. Chris Wofford walked out to talk with me in my car. I’d visited four other possible garages to service my MB E300…none had the time of day to spend with me. Chris did. And it’s been to my benefit! The office staff, the mechanics and the prices are all what I want. They are all 100% authentic, skilled and friendly. Even this latest time when they missed that I needed my car back asap. I called and let them know it wasn’t ok for me to get it back later than 4. I had my car by 4 with a sincere apology. That’s what real people do.

I would absolutely recommend these folks! I just moved to town from Dallas, and had a drivetrain issue on my 7-series. They were able to diagnose and complete repairs in a very timely manner, at an extremely reasonable cost. Chris and Andrew both had amazing communication throughout the process, and have immediately become my go-to shop. While I hope I don't have to see them often, I'll rest easy knowing whatever issues may arise, I'll be taken care of. They also went above and beyond to take a look at the entire car and let me know what may be an issue down the road, without any pressure at all to get it done that day. Love these guys!
